What is the SUMIFS Function?

The SUMIFS function in Excel is a powerful tool for summing up values based on multiple criteria. It’s especially useful when you need to calculate totals in a large dataset that meet specific conditions.

=SUMIFS(sum_range, criteria_range1, criteria1, [criteria_range2, criteria2], ...)

range: The range of cells to add up.
criteria_range1: The range of cells to evaluate against the first condition.
criteria1 : The condition that defines which cells in criteria_range1 should be included.
criteria_range2, criteria2 : Additional ranges and conditions if any (optional).

Error Handling

If criteria ranges don’t match the sum_range size, SUMIFS returns an error. Ensure each criteria range has the same number of rows as sum_range.
